Farnham Town is delighted to announce that left-back Brandon Mason has agreed a new one-year contract extension with the Club running until May 2027.
Having spent nearly his entire career in the professional game, Brandon made the the bold step to move down the levels and join the Town from St. Albans City last summer where he became an immediate impact player for the Club from day one.
Brandon brought a level of professionalism to the dressing room and helped raise the bar amongst the group while also continually performing at a high level on the field week in, week out.
His 53 appearances this season were second-most in the entire squad, 52 of which were starts – the most in the group. Brandon started 43 of Farnham Town’s 44 league and play-off games this season, again both were team-highs, playing 3,825 (96.6%) of a possible 3,960 minutes of league and play-off football, which again, unsurprisingly, was the most in the squad.

His relentless energy up and down the left-side was a staple of our play this season, and Brandon proved to be a key piece of the puzzle in both boxes, contributing towards 10 goals across all competitions, including scoring an important free-kick winner in a 2-1 triumph away at Gloucester City in November.
“Coming out of the professional game, everyone knew the quality that Brandon would add to the group,” manager Paul Johnson said.
“He’s in his prime years and knows exactly what it takes to be successful in football. He’s led by example both on and off the field with how he looks after himself.
“The numbers speak for themselves in terms of appearances and minutes played, Brandon is a player I have complete faith in to go out there and do the job twice, sometimes three times a week and always deliver a quality performance.
“The way his experience and calmness has rubbed off on everyone really helped us down the stretch. He’s a joy to have in the building and I’m really happy that he’s continuing with us next season.”
Chairman Harry Hugo adds: “I think everyone saw pretty much immediately that Brandon was a serious, serious player.
“Having watched all our games, every team in the league, not a doubt in my mind that Brandon was the best left-back in the division and is in that conversation when we step up into the National League South.
“Brandon’s professionalism and work ethic is extremely commendable too. The way he looks after himself in order to be the best version of himself when he crosses over the white line. Playing more minutes than anyone else in the league, starting every single game near enough, and not let his performances dip is just insane.
“Wouldn’t surprise me in the slightest if we even more from Brandon next season as we move up into Step 2. He always raised his game in the crucial fixtures and there will be more of them next year. Really excited to have Brandon back with us next season.”
