Farnham Town complete signing of Aaron Kuhl from Farnborough

Farnham Town are delighted to announce that we have completed the signing of midfielder Aaron Kuhl from National League South side Farnborough, who joins on a one-year contract until May 2027.

The 30-year-old midfielder came through the ranks at Reading, making his debut in the Championship back in August 2014, the first of eight senior appearances for the Royals that season which also included appearances for England’s U19 and U20 sides.

Loans with Dundee United and Boreham Wood followed in the next couple of seasons prior to his release from Reading at the end of the 2016/17 season.

Aaron became a prominent name in the local non league circuit first with Basingstoke Town in the Autumn of 2019 before being recruited by National League South side Slough Town in November of that year.

Over the next few years, Aaron would become a regular in the Slough side, making 68 appearances for the Club in the National League South, scoring seven goals, before making the step up to the National League with Dorking Wanderers who signed him in January 2023.

Between January and October 2023, Aaron featured 19 times in the National League for the Wanderers prior to joining Farnborough on loan where he scored eight times in 27 games in the National League South before returning to Dorking for the final weeks of the season.

Aaron completed a permanent return to Farnborough in October 2024 and was immediately reinstated as one of the first names on the team sheet for Boro, starting 33 of a possible 36 National League South games over the remainder of the league campaign.

Having started the season well, Aaron suffered a broken leg on August 20th 2025 during a 1-0 win against eventual National League South winners Worthing which caused him to miss virtually the entire rest of the season before making a late substitute appearance in Farnborough’s final home game of the against Tonbridge Angels in April 2026.

Now fully fit, we’re looking forward to helping Aaron get back to playing some of his best football, and we look forward to seeing that at The Memorial Ground this season.

“Aaron is someone I have watched for a number of years and always been keen to sign him,” manager Paul Johnson said.

“His performances at this level and the level above made it tricky to get him to join us lower down, but now we’re a National League South side, that conversation was a bit easier!

“To finally get a player of Aaron’s quality in a crowded market to pick us shows how far we’ve come in such a short space of time. I’m excited to work with him this season.”

Chairman Harry Hugo adds: “Aaron is a proven commodity in the National League setup.

“Over his two spells with Farnborough, he was widely considered as one of the best central midfielders in the division, and he performed capably during his time in the National League with Dorking Wanderers too.

“Last season didn’t go to plan for Aaron with his terrible injury, but he has fully recovered from that and was able to return to the pitch before the end of the campaign.

“We’re looking forward to giving Aaron the platform to fully reset from that injury, get a pre-season under his belt and watch him flourish when the season gets underway in August. He’s a quality player and will also provide some much-needed experience at the level to our dressing room.”
