Seb Bowerman to leave Farnham Town after 2025/26 season

Farnham Town can confirm that attacker Seb Bowerman will be leaving the Club this summer by mutual decision.

A late season addition to the squad, Seb joined the Town in a transfer from league rivals Bracknell Town in early March as we looked to bolster the group ahead of what would be an important run of games.

After making his first start away at league leaders Walton & Hersham on March 14th, he scored his only goal for the Club 10 days later away at Plymouth Parkway and would go on to appear in all but one of our final 17 games of the season.

Joining amid a major fixture congestion crisis and injuries piling up, Seb brought a much needed different dynamic to the group with his position versatility, opening up the option for the team to go into different formations which was important down the stretch.

After coming on as a half-time substitute in the Surrey Senior Cup final, it was a terrific whipped corner from Seb that found Jack Dean who headed home our equaliser on the night as we went on to win the game on penalties and lift the trophy for the first time in our history.

In total, Seb made 16 appearances for the Club and will always be remembered as a key contributor to a side that made Farnham Town history in earning promotion to the National League South for the first time.

“I’m sad to see Seb go but I wish him all the best with his next move,” manager Paul Johnson said.

“It wasn’t easy for him leaving Bracknell, a Club he has a lot of history with, but I’m glad he was able to come in here and make the contribution he did.

“Sometimes it’s challenging joining a group in the middle of a season, especially one that’s playing two or three times a week, but Seb slotted in about as well as he could have. I’ll always be appreciative of his efforts with us and he leaves with our best wishes.”

Chairman Harry Hugo adds: “I really appreciate Seb for his willingness to take the leap of faith and leave Bracknell to join us for the run-in.

“He had a long history at Bracknell, regarded as their best-ever player, but he had the chance to end the season by making history with us and I’m glad that he was able to help us win a trophy and then earn promotion.

“When we signed Seb, we knew that there was a chance it would only be a short-term rental due to his work and personal situation away from football, but it was a risk we wanted to take because we knew he would be an asset to help us get promoted, which he was.

“I really like Seb as a person and we will for sure keep in touch in the years to come. Whatever comes next for him in football I wish him nothing but the best.”
