Farnham Town Women are delighted to announce that we have agreed to terms for the signing of striker Ashlee Hincks following her departure from FA Women’s National League South side AFC Wimbledon Women.
Hincks’ arrival represents a huge coup for the Club, as she joins off the back of what has been an extremely successful career to date in the Women’s game spanning more than 19 years that includes representing England at all youth levels.
Ashlee burst onto the scene as a 17-year-old with Charlton Athletic and was part of the team that beat Arsenal in the 2005/06 FA Women’s Premier League Cup final and also reached the 2006/07 FA Women’s Cup final the following season playing alongside the likes of England Lionesses’ stars Eni Aluko, Casey Stoney, Natasha Dowie and Jo Potter, but unfortunately was on the losing side against Arsenal on the day.
From there, Ashlee would move to London rivals Watford where she would spend the next three years of her career before signing for Chelsea in 2011 where Women’s football would begin to take off.
With the top league now rebranding into the Women’s Super League, Ashlee played in the first-ever WSL game while at Chelsea, again against Arsenal, and would go on to make 25 appearances for the Blues, reaching another FA Women’s Cup final in 2012, before spending time overseas playing with Fimleikafélag Hafnarfjarðar in Iceland.

Ashlee returned to English football with Millwall in 2015, joining them in the newly-founded Women’s Super League 2, the second tier of the Women’s game, enjoying a successful three-and-a-half year spell with the Lionesses, culminating with a third-place finish in the 2017/18 WSL2, just one point shy of a possible promotion.
Following their promotion into the second tier of the Women’s game for the first time – then rebranded as the Women’s Championship, Ashlee transferred to Crystal Palace in the summer of 2018, was named their Player of the Year in 2018/19, and helped establish them as a regular at the level with improving league finishes in each of her three seasons with the Club.
In the summer of 2021, Ashlee moved down the tiers to join new Farnham Town Women’s manager Kevin Foster at AFC Wimbledon in the fourth tier to support in their journey through the divisions. The goalscoring floodgates opened and in her first three seasons with the Club, she netted 40, 35 and 39 goals respectively, firing AFC Wimbledon to the FA Women’s National League South East Division 1 title in 2023/24.
Promoted into tier three for the first time in their history, AFC Wimbledon instilled Ashlee as captain as they looked to find their footing in the FA Women’s National League South and did so successfully, retaining their status in the division in each of the last two seasons.
This past season, Ashlee netted 17 goals as AFC Wimbledon secured their survival on the final day of the season and was later named the Player of the Year.
In total, Ashlee tallied 145 goals, 65 assists, and 39 Player of the Match Awards in 135 competitive appearances for the Dons before deciding to leave the Club to seek a new challenge following the 2025/26 campaign.
Despite opportunities to play higher up the pyramid, Ashlee has committed to come and join the project here with Farnham Town Women, who have enjoyed back-to-back promotions following their rebirth in the summer of 2024 and will be playing in Southern Region Football League Premier Division – tier five of the Women’s Football League System – in 2026/27.

“Ashlee is one of the best players I’ve had the pleasure of working with during my time in the game, both on and off the field,” manager Kevin Foster said.
“In the five years she was a player for us at AFC Wimbledon, she was as prolific as they come. Scoring over 100 goals in her first three seasons with us, firing us to the tier four league title and into tier three for the first time ever.
“The past two seasons for us were all about establishing ourselves as a National League Club and Ashlee was our captain for those two years, leading from the front, and scored over 30 league goals across those two seasons, was the Player of the Year last season and delivered exactly what we needed from her.
“She has a long and successful career at the top of the Women’s game from before we started working together in 2021. She has unbelievable pedigree and was a huge coup for us at AFC Wimbledon at the time, so her coming down the levels again to join us at Farnham Town Women is massive for the Club in terms of helping us achieve our targets this season.”
“Ashlee is going to be a leader for us on and off the field, setting standards and raising the bar for the football club. We have massive ambitions with Farnham Town Women over the short-term and the long-term, and Ashlee is going to be a massive foundational piece of that. I can’t wait to get working with her again this season!”
Chairman Harry Hugo added: “We’re all incredibly excited about bringing Ashlee to the Club this summer as we look to kick-on from a successful couple of years for our Women’s team.
“Ashlee is a real pedigree signing, having played right at the highest level of the Women’s game in the WSL, played in Women’s FA Cup finals, and scored loads of goals along the way.
“She’s worked with Kevin over the last five years at AFC Wimbledon Women to great success, a promotion to Tier 3 and over 140 goals scored.
“Ashlee is going to be an ambassador for what we’re looking for from our Women’s team in this next phase of their development. She’s going to lead by example, she conducts herself in the right way and should help inspire the rest of the squad.
“Her arrival signals the intent that we have at Farnham Town about investing and growing our Women’s team, how we want to equip Kevin with everything he needs to succeed, and how we want to build on the tremendous foundations we’ve set ourselves over the last two years.”
Farnham Town Women start their pre-season preparations on Saturday, July 11th when they take on Badshot Lea Women in a double-header at The Memorial Ground, followed by a fixture between the two Men’s sides.
