Striker, 19
Loan Club: Basingstoke Town
Starting his first full season of senior men’s football, Miles joined Basingstoke Town on a 28-day loan last week, returning to the Southern League Premier South after a brief loan spell with Marlow in 2025 whilst part of the Swindon Town academy setup.
Miles was named among the substitutes for ‘Stoke’s opening game of the season last Saturday with Evesham United visiting the Winklebury Stadium, but was introduced to the game early in the second half, playing the final 35 minutes in attack.
Impressing with his close control, physicality and willingness to work the channels, Miles’ holdup play was key to keeping Basingstoke in the game, assisting Basingstoke’s second goal of the game with a neat offload to goalscorer Aleksander Kokoszka, but it would not effect the result as they fell to a 4-2 defeat.
A quick turnaround followed as Basingstoke were back in action on Tuesday night with a trip to Hanwell Town, with Miles in from the start to make his full debut.
His high-energy, frenetic style would again catch the eye and be a lightning rod for positive moves from Basingstoke, but in a game settled by fine margins, it would again be a narrow defeat for the ‘Stoke, being edged out 2-1 courtesy of a brace from Hanwell striker Harvey Bradbury.
Miles and Basingstoke will be back in action this Saturday as they travel to Poole Town, who suffered defeat in their last home league game on Tuesday night against Sholing.
Harley Platel
Winger, 18
Loan Club: Ascot United
After impressing with us in pre-season, Harley signed on a permanent basis last week and was immediately loaned to Isthmian South Central side Ascot United on a three-month loan deal in what would be his first taste of competitive senior men’s football.
Having been registered on Friday morning, Harley was thrown straight in as he started Ascot’s Emirates FA Cup Extra Preliminary Round tie with Clevedon Town the same evening.
Harley was a permanent live wire in the Ascot attack down the left-hand side with Farnham Town manager Paul Johnson watching on. He carried the ball forward with purpose and came close to setting up a first half equaliser for Ascot with a cutback to Fope Deru before the Yellas did eventually level things up before the break.
With the game drifting towards a replay, a moment of magic from Harley put Ascot on the route to progression through to the Preliminary Round. Receiving the ball on the left flank, Harley cut inside, dribbled past two challengers before firing a right-footed effort into the far corner to put Ascot 2-1 up with 12 minutes to go.
The goal would help inspire Ascot United to victory, with Quaye Vine making it 3-1 in the 90th minute before a late Clevedon consolation deep into added time.
Ascot would be rewarded with another home tie in the Preliminary Round as they welcome Penn & Tylers Green to the Racecourse Ground later in the month. Next up is a return to league action as Ascot travel to Bedfont Sports on Saturday.
Kai Tanner

Loan Club: Bracknell Town
After missing the majority of the 2025/26 season with a foot and ankle injury suffered in the second week of the season away at Gosport Borough, it’s imperative that Kai is able to log regular minutes to build up his match sharpness.
Having been an unused substitute in our opening National League South game against AFC Totton, Kai was given permission to join Southern League Premier South side Bracknell Town on a 28-day loan spell. The Robins were looking to bounce-back after suffering a shock 7-0 defeat on the opening day of their league campaign away at Plymouth Parkway last Saturday.
Thrust straight into the side, Kai would line up alongside a number of former Farnham favourites including Zaki Oualah, Jordan Stepney, Harry Cooksley and Adam Liddle as Bracknell welcomed last season’s losing play-off finalists Gloucester City to the SB Stadium.
Bracknell definitely showed some fight after a disappointing opening day defeat, taking the game to Gloucester in the first half, striking the bar and then the post inside the opening 20 minutes.
Kai was always an outlet on the left-hand side, and came close to picking up a first half assist when his cut back from the touchline picked out Dara Dada in the middle of the box but he was unable to turn the ball home.
The Robins took a deserved lead when Dada’s cross from the right-wing flashed across goal and was tapped home by Ruben Bartlett-Antwi at the back post, but were pegged back moments before half-time as an unfortunate deflection from a Bracknell defender helped the ball fly past Oualah in goal.
Bracknell came out all guns blazing to start the second half, and retook the lead inside a minute when Liddle’s pressure fashioned a chance for Bartlett-Antwi who volleyed home from a tight angle between the ‘keepers legs.
Four minutes later, Cooksley, now the Robins’ captain, scored what proved to be the winner when he was slipped in by Barlett-Antwi on the counter, firing in a right-footed effort across goal and into the far corner.
Gloucester would get a goal back later in the half but it was Bracknell who held on for the three points, making it a winning start for Kai who would play the 90 minutes on the night.
The Robins are back in action at home on Saturday as they welcome newcomers Malvern Town to the SB Stadium.
