Farnham Town are delighted to announce a new affiliation with Farnham Powerchair Football Club, bringing another local side into the Town family ahead of the 2026/27 season.
The Powerchair club join our Running Club, Vets, Walkers and Youth teams as part of a growing network of teams under the Farnham Town banner.
From the start of the new season, the Powerchair squad will play in Town colours and adidas stripes, the same kit worn by our Vets and Walkers sides and by more than 800 children across our Youth teams.
Powerchair football is a fast, physical game played by athletes with significant physical disabilities, competing in specially adapted power wheelchairs. Farnham PFC provide the opportunity for players across the local area to compete in the sport.
Sue Barnley, Club Secretary at Farnham PFC, said: “We are really excited to be affiliated with Farnham Town. To have our players wearing the same colours as the rest of the Club means a great deal to everyone involved with us.
“To increase the opportunities for new players we would welcome coaching support from anyone who wants to get involved, whether they know the game already or want to learn it. And any sponsors out there who would consider supporting us would be amazing. We are a small club with big ambitions for our players and for those that want to join us, this is a real step forward.
Chairman Harry Hugo said: “Community is at the heart of everything we do at Farnham Town, and welcoming the Powerchair club into the fold is something we are proud of.
“They do outstanding work giving players in this area the chance to compete and they deserve a bigger platform. We will be doing what we can to help them find the coaches and the backing they need, and we would encourage anyone locally who can lend a hand to get in touch with them.
“Supporters will be seeing plenty more of the Powerchair squad across our channels this season and we hope the local area gets behind them the way it has got behind us.”
