Farnham Town sign midfielder Josh Tobin on loan from Bromley

Farnham Town are pleased to announce the signing of midfielder Josh Tobin from League One side Bromley, who joins on an initial three-month loan deal.

The 22-year-old came through the academy ranks at Chelsea before making his way in non league football. After short spells with Cray Wanderers and Margate, Josh joined Walton & Hersham in the Southern League Premier South in January 2024.

Josh would catch the eye during a 12-month spell with the Swans, scoring five times in 35 appearances, earning himself a transfer to the Football League with Bromley in January 2025.

He signed pro terms with the Ravens in May 2025 and made his senior debut in the EFL Trophy, coming off the bench in a 2-1 defeat against AFC Wimbledon in November.

The following month, Tobin joined National League side Yeovil Town on loan for the remainder of the 2025/26 season, teaming up with manager Billy Rowley who he worked with at Walton & Hersham.

Josh would feature in five of the next six National League fixtures for the Glovers before suffering an ankle injury during a 1-0 win at Altrincham that would rule him out for the rest of the campaign.

Able to play in both midfield and defence, Josh has now returned to full fitness and we’re pleased to welcome him to the Club on loan to get some much needed match action after an injury-hit season. We’d like to thank those involved at Bromley for helping us move quickly to get the deal done.

Everyone associated with Farnham Town would like to wish Josh the best of luck during his time with us. Josh is registered and is immediately available to selection for our upcoming National League South fixture away at Folkestone Invicta this weekend.
