Ascot United opened their Bank Holiday weekend double-header with a Friday visit from high-flying Margate of the Isthmian South East, unbeaten so far this season, but Quinn would be held out of this fixture due to an agreement not to include him in FA competitions.
Quinn was back in the Ascot starting line-up for the Bank Holiday Monday fixture with Windsor & Eton and played a little over an hour for the Yellas before being replaced and had to watch from the sidelines as Ascot fell to a 3-1 defeat at home.
Unable to feature in Ascot’s Emirates FA Cup tie this weekend, Quinn’s likely next appearances for Ascot will come next week in the First Round of the Velocity Cup against South Park.
Harley Platel

Loan Club: Ascot United
No such restrictions on Harley’s loan deal with Ascot United as he would start the FA Trophy clash with Margate, and he would steal the show.
It took only seven minutes for Ascot to take the lead and it came through the Farnham loanee as he received the ball out on the left flank, cut inside, beat his challengers and whipped a right-footed effort into the far corner – not too dissimilar from his debut goal for the Yellas in the Emirates FA Cup earlier in the month.
Their lead was midway through the first half before Harley rounded off the perfect 45 minutes for Ascot when he netted his second of the game with a low, deflected effort that wrong-footed the goalkeeper, booking their place in the next round of the FA Trophy.
On Monday, it was a return to league action with the visit of Windsor & Eton, and again Harley would get Ascot off to a fast start, striking after six minutes to give his side the lead, but a second-half come back from the Royalists saw them leave the Racecourse ground with all three points.

Loan Club: Basingstoke Town
A Southern League Premier South double-header for the ‘Stoke over the August Bank Holiday started with a trip down to take on Taunton Town who had enjoyed a solid start to the campaign to date.
The Peacocks got off to a hot start taking a 3-0 lead inside the first 20 minutes to rock Basingstoke, who showed some grit to mount a comeback, cutting the deficit by one a few minutes later before a red card to defender Sol Ceesay made the challenge immensely more difficult.
Taunton made it 4-1 on the hour mark but Basingstoke weren’t done there. 15 minutes from time, Miles received the ball left of centre on the edge of the box and fired a curling effort into the top-right corner to breathe new life into the game, his third of the season.
Moments later, Miles found the net again with a close range tap-in that was ruled out by the offside flag in what looked like a razor thin decision. A third did come shortly after but it would be a 4-3 defeat on the road.
Monday brought a return to the Winklebury to take on Bracknell Town who feature a number of former Farnham Town players but not loanee Kai Tanner who remains out with a foot injury.
The Robins would take a first-half lead but a pair of Billy Upton headers in the second half would give Basingstoke the win, helping move them away from the relegation zone.
